Clemance Lee Hochstedler, 40, of 6598 Hoy Rd., Wooster, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 as a result of an accident at his home involving a corn picker.
He was born April 6, 1979 in Iowa to the Lloyd and Miriam (Schlabach) Hochstedler and married the former Susan R. Miller, daughter of Reuben D. and Clara (Yoder) Miller on April 22, 2005. To this union was born 3 sons and 2 daughters, Sylvan age 13, Carson age 11, Conrad age 8, Shyann age 3 and Monika age 1.
Also surviving are his parents, Lloyd and Miriam Hochstedler of Kalona, IA; brothers and sisters, Elrose (Lucy) Hochstetler of Wooster, Viola (Jonas) Hershberger of Kinsman, OH, Manass (Miriam) Hochstedler of Wooster, Jacob (Amy) Hochstedler of Hutchinson, KS, Martha (Kevin) Kauffman of El Mirage, AZ and Esther Hochstedler, Charles (Camilla) Hochstedler, Verton Hochstedler and Nelson (Marilyn) Hochstedler all of Kalona, IA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Luella Hochstedler; grandparents, Sylvan and Ollie (Gingerich) Hochstedler and Jacob and Viola (Yoder) Schlabach.
Services will be Sunday, Jan. 12th at 9:00 a.m. at the John Hilty Residence, 7343 James Rd., Wooster, with Minister Eli Hilty officiating. Burial will be in the Graber Road Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday and Saturday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Hilty Residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
