William R. Kuntz, 81, of Diamond, OH, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at University Hospital in Ravenna after a brief illness.
Bill was born Jan. 28, 1937 in Canaan Township to the late Richard and Ruby (Eagle) Kuntz and was a 1955 graduate of Northwestern High School. He married the former Deborah Yeagley on June 15, 1968 and she survives. He had been in the construction and excavating business having owned and operated Kuntz Trucking and Excavating and had made his home in Shreve and Wooster prior to moving to Diamond twenty years ago. Bill enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Debby; children, Bill and Cindy Kuntz of Rootstown, Rick and Teri Kuntz of Ravenna, Gary and Ruth Ann Kuntz of Rootstown and Julie Davis of Sterling; 9 grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Ricky, Zachary, Emily, Ben, Angie, Jordan and Cameron; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ellen Kirkendall of Strongsville, Becky (Claude) Grindstaff and Evelyn (Loren) Sigler both of Wooster and Janice (Alan) Donaldson of Marion and a brother-in-law, Robert Shearer of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin; a great-grandson and a sister, Norma Shearer.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston OH with Pastor John Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
