Jeannette Denise Hanzie, 58, of Rittman, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday evening, Oct. 20, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.
Jeannette was born Sept. 24, 1960 in Wooster to Roger and Marjorie (King) Wiles and was a 1979 graduate of Norwayne High School. On April. 12, 1980 she married Kevin L. Hanzie and together they made their home near Rittman for the past 38 years. Jeannette and Kevin operated the Lizzie Mae’s Bird Seed Co. and she had previously worked at PFI Displays in Rittman for 27 years. She was a member of Northside Christian Church and was a active in several Bible Study Groups. Jeannette was a faithful servant of the Lord who was always giving to or helping others. Her greatest joy was spending time and carrying for her grandchildren who she dearly loved.
Surviving are her husband, Kevin; daughter and son-in-law, Jenelle and James Pamer, III of Orville; her son, Kyler Hanzie of Detroit, MI; her 3 grandchildren, James, IV, Jonah and Joanna Pamer; her parents, Roger and Marge Wiles of Wooster; her sisters and their husbands, Deb and Jim Figley of Holmesville, Diane Stepp of Rittman and Leslie and Stan Berry of Wooster; brother, Took Wiles and Valerie Davis of Jeromesville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Janet Hanzie of Rittman; sisters-in-law and their husbands; Kim and John Deuber of Wadsworth and Kris and Sam Ulery of North Ridgeville and 14 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, Oct. 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth with Pastor Robin Hart officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I know she loved the Lord and that brings great comfort to me. We haven't been around each other since we were kids but, oh the memories I have of her and all my cousins when I would get to spend the night at Uncle Rogers and Aunt Marges.
