Thomas Scott Hewit

July 20, 1960 - August 16, 2018


Thomas Scott Hewit, 58, of Seville, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.

Tom was born July 20, 1960 in Medina and was the son of the late Russel H. Sr. and Martha E. (Hoff) Hewit.  He graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1978 and had been a car salesman for a number of years, had worked at Neuman Foods in Sterling and for the past 10 years was employed at Perry Farms.

Surviving are his sons, Cory Hewit of Seville, Casey Hewit of North Royalton and Tyler Hewit of Barberton;  brothers, John (Cheryl) Hewit and Rick (Kathy) Hewit both of Seville; a sister, Kathy (Phil) Reining of Lucas and nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Yaeger Hewit on March 15, 2015, his father, Russel Hewit,Sr., his mother, Martha Hewit Schroeder and a brother, Russel “Cy” Hewit, Jr.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 27, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH. Tributes may be shared at
