Obituary:
Tami Sue Grier, 46, of Wadsworth, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Akron City Hospital following a valiant fight between her body and illness over the course of several years.
Tami was born May 2, 1965 in Lodi the daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Lois Pauline (Collins) Grier. She was a 1984 graduate of Norwayne High School and had worked at the Stellar Group and M.B.M. Logistics. She had made her home in Wadsworth for the past 26 years previously residing in Burbank. She was a member Creston Moose Lodge 1224. She was an avid Bingo Player, enjoyed collecting antiques, attending auctions and flee markets and playing corn hole and horse shoes. She was entertaining and fun loving and the life of family gatherings. She was a gentle and caring person.
Surviving are the love of her life for the past 26 years Bradley Waddell of Wadsworth; sisters and brothers, Sharon (Jeff) Beckwith of Wooster, Phillip (Linda) Grier of Burbank, Cindy (Lloyd) Eshler of Wooster, Bruce (Hazel) Grier of Lodi, Debbie (Bill) Anderson of Creston and Randy (Karon) Grier of Wooster; numerous nieces and nephews who adored her; Brad’s dad Gene Waddell of Wadsworth and her dogs Momo and Bambie and her cats Sisco and Shuey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard Grier.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at
