Sandra Y. Norton, 63, of Wadsworth, died Monday Aug. 15, 2011 at home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sandy was born Nov. 4, 1947 in Strange Creek, W.Va. the daughter of the late Arley and Olive Taylor. She married Richard “Red” Norton on May 12, 1973. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1992. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. She had made her home in Wadsworth for the past 21 years.

Surviving are her son Richie (Jamie Goodwin) Norton of Wadsworth; step-son Rick Norton of Wooster and step-daughter Linda Norton of Holiday, FL; a grandson Derek Poling; 2 sisters Arlene Long and Rosalea Kiser both of Glouster and a brother Dale Taylor of Rittman. Her husband, a daughter Rosie Norton and a brother David Taylor died previously.
