Rudy J. Troyer, 73, of 6007 Township Road 351, Millersburg, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born May 7, 1943 in Wayne County to Jacob and Fannie (Miller) Troyer and married the former Fannie Kline on Dec. 1963 who survives. He was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving are his wife Fannie; children, Rosanna Troyer, Amanda Sue (Ivan) Hochstetler and Marlene Troyer all of the home and Mary Ellen (Daniel) Hershberger of Sugarcreek; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Alfred) Schlabach of Orrville, Anna Troyer of Fredericksburg and Erma (Roy)Yoder of Middlefield; brothers, Eli (Katie)Troyer, Sanford Troyer and Aden (Clara) Troyer all of Fredericksburg, Noah (Barb) Troyer of Holmesville and Jacob Jr. (Edna) Troyer of Apple Creek; a sister-in-law Susie Troyer of Holmesville and a special friend, Mary Wilcox of Millersburg; He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dan Troyer, a sisters, Amanda Troyer and a brother-in-law, Roy Yoder.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Andy Schlabach officiating. Burial will be in the Stutzman (Troyer) Cemetery, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
