Roberta Evelyn Gerber, 69, of Rittman, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, Jan. 24, 2012 at Summa Barberton Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born May 17, 1942 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Pearl and Grace (Millard) Warren. She married John Gerber on May 27, 1961 and he survives. She had made her home in Creston prior to moving to Rittman 4 years ago. She enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed by her husband John, her 5 children, John (Maria) Gerber of Edenton, NC, Vivian (Jim) Fagan of Creston, David (Iris) Gerber of Wooster, Rhonda (Norman) Webb of Creston and Vickie (Stanley Smallwood) Brown of Wooster; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brothers Howard (Monica) Warren of Canton and Mike (Brenda) Warren of Massillon and a sister Vera (Jerry) Diehl of Massillon. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers Ralph, Bill, Max, Rex, Bobby, Jim and three infant brothers and a sister Betty.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. James McComas officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
