Obituary:
Robert L. King, 69, of Wooster, died peacefully at his home on Friday, July 9, 2010 following a brief illness.
Bob was born on April 11, 1941 in Canton the son of the late Paul and Blanche (Brown) King. He attended Waynedale High School and served in the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Community Action and had previously worked at Carr Movers and for Gary Shetler Construction. He had made his home in Fredericksburg for 30 years prior to moving to Wooster and was a member of Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed History including reading and studying about the Civil War and collecting antiques. He loved to do home improvement projects and work for other.
Surviving are his two daughters, Beth (Larry) Collins of Jeromesville and Brianna (Scott) Beal of Dover; 7 grandchildren, Ryan and Seth Collins, Jacob, Genesis, Grace and Jordan Brillhart and Spencer Beal; a brother Paul (Orpha) King of North Port, FL and a sister Joyce (Wayne) McVickers of Lodi;
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Don Snow officiating. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Assoc.
