Robert Leonard Dean
March 6, 1939 - October 2, 2018
Robert Leonard Dean, 79, of Creston, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a period of declining health.
Bob was born March 6, 1939 in Wayne, WV to the late Byron and Stella (Insco) Dean and attended Rittman High School where he pursued his passion for basketball. On Dec. 1, 1956 he married the love of his life, Lucy (Mayberry) Dean and they shared nearly 62 wonderful years together. Devoted to providing for his family, he retired from the former Ohio Boxboard in Rittman after 34 years of hard work. Bob enjoyed gardening, woodworking, home improvement projects and a love for classic cars. He loved to support and be involved in his children’s many activities from sports, cheerleading, drama, horses and ballet to ballroom dancing. In his later years, he and his wife found great enjoyment in traveling to Amish Country where he helped choose fabrics for Lucy’s beautiful quilt projects. "Bob was an extraordinary husband and dad who poured his heart into his family. The most loving, strong & selfless man his loved ones will ever know."

I send my sincere sympathy to Bob's family. He was a classmate at Rittman High School and I remember his being a good basketball player for our high school. Later, I had some of his children as students and he was a devoted father to his family. May your family be comforted by our God and wonderful memories of happy times spent with Bob.
