Penny Louise Studer
July 31, 1949 - October 12, 2018
Penny Louise Studer, 69, of Wooster, died peacefully on Friday evening, Oct. 12, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness with cancer.
Penny was born July 31, 1949 in Bellaire, OH to the late Virgil L. and Josephine M. (Graham) Briggs. On May 28, 1966 she married Terry D. Studer and had made her home near Sterling where she and Terry raised their sons prior to moving to Wooster. Penny enjoyed working at the Food Pantry in Millersburg, playing Yahtzee with her friends and Thursday music jams with her brother, Virgil. Her greatest joy was attending her grandkids school and sporting event. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Terry; sons, Rob Studer of Wooster, Rick (Janelle) Studer of Wooster and Scott Studer of Sterling; her grandchildren, Kara (Richard) Gibbs, Tristan and Brooklyn Studer, Destinee (Kyle) Fetter and Logan and Allison Studer; 3 great-grandchildren, Michael Gibbs and Kenzie and Kohen Fetter and her brothers, Virgil Jr. (Betty Jo) Briggs of Wooster and Lon (Ruth) Briggs of Peoria, AZ
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Kim Studer, grandson, Kyle Studer, brothers, Charles “Bob” Darrah and Jacob Briggs and her sister, Phyllis Perkins.
Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Penny was a wonderful caring lady, who I will miss. I wish we had been able to stay closer through the years, but I cherish the times we had in the past.
