Paula Jean Wood, 51, of Burbank, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 surrounded by her family at Wooster Community Hospital after a lengthy battle of illness.
Paula was born Dec. 22, 1965 in Columbus to George W. and Sally (Serrano) Wood Sr. and was 1984 graduate of Norwayne High School. She had worked in child care and as a teacher at Perky’s World of Children and was a member of the Catholic faith. Paula enjoyed sewing, knitting, tying blankets and doing scrapbooking. She loved the Christmas Story and will be remembered for always caring for other.
Surviving are her four children, Jason (Michelle) Hawkins of Creston, Christopher (Jodie) Hawkins of Wooster, Samantha Hawkins of Creston and Brandi (Brendan) Finney of Creston; her much loved grandchildren, Maxwell, Celeste, Nathen, Taylor, Alayna and Seraphina; her parents, George and Sally of Burbank; sisters and brother, Donna (Alvin) Shortridge of Piedmont, OK, Diane (Steve) Gartner of Liberty Township, George W. (Nancy) Wood, Jr. of Burbank and Amelia (Alexander) Murph of Norton and many nieces and nephews.
