Obituary:
Mildred Louise Simons, 81, of Wooster, died peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Wayne County Care Center.
Louise was born July 9, 1929 in Wooster the daughter of the Walter and Mildred (Shoup) Franks and she married Myron B. Simons who preceded her in death in 2001. She had worked at Regal Ware and had made her home in Painesville for nearly 30 years moving back to Wooster in 2006. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge in Painesville and was a member of the former Canaan Grange. She was an avid bowler.
Surviving are her two daughters Janet (Duane) Bowers of Madison, Miss. and Patricia (Tommy) Sands of Wooster; step children Darrell Simons of Willoughby, Velma Heath of Painesville and Sally Edworthy of Florida; 2 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a brother Robert (Anna) Franks of Canaan and sisters Jennie (Robert) Clevidence of Jeromesville and Bonnie Thompson of Orrville and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 12:00 noon at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until services at 12:00 noon. Tributes may be shared at
