Obituary:
Mary E. Myers, 81, of Creston, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at her home following a brief illness.
Mary was born Oct. 14, 1930 in Andover, OH the daughter of the late Encil and Grace (Thorn) Sparling. She had made her home in Canaan for the past 20 years having previously resided in Burbank. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano, gardening and spending time with family.
Surviving are six children, Candee (Tom) Reynolds of New Bloomington, Linda (Stefanko) Pfeifer and Daniel Pfeifer of Wooster, Scott Myers and Matt (Darlene) Myers both of Creston and Douglas Myers of Wooster; 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren and 2 sisters Patricia Wilcox of Panama City, FL and Carol Hanlon of Cape Coral, FL. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean, Clover and Lois.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Fred Perkins officiating. Tributes may be shared at
