Obituary:
Malinda Raber, 88, of 8220 Township Road 568, Fredericksburg, died Thursday morning, April 14, 2011 at the Bert Mast residence following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 29, 1922 in Holmes County the daughter of the late Andrew D. and Emma (Hostetler) Wengerd. She married Menno J. Raber on March 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2008. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are children Andrew (Elsie) Raber, Sarah (Albert) Mast and Robert (Anna Mae) Raber all of Fredericksburg, Mattie (Evan) Weaver of Sugarcreek, Jacob (Betty) Raber of Fredericksburg, David (Sheryl) Raber of Tazewell, VA and Mary Ann (Robert) Miller of Baltic; 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; a brother Robert (Lizzie) Wengerd of Fredericksburg; a sister Anna Gliem of Wooster and sisters-in-law Martha Wengerd of Walnut Creek, Ida Raber of Orrville and Katie Ann Yoder of Middlefield. She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 grandchildren; brothers Dan and John Wengerd, and sisters Ella Yoder, Mattie Wengerd, Ada Miller and Mary Wengerd.
Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Robert M. Raber residence, 8218 Township Road 568, Fredericksburg with Bishop Raymond Hochstetler officiating. Burial will be in Hershberger Cemetery, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the Robert Raber residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
