Obituary:
Lucille Clarissa Tegtmeier, 88 of Franchester Rd., West Salem died at Burbank Parke Nursing Facility on Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
Lucille was born September 12, 1922 in Hermanville to the late Howard & Hazel (Shumaker) Herman. She graduated in 1940 from Creston High School. She attended Wooster Business College and worked at the Wooster Brush Company. She married Harold Tegtmeier on March 2, 1944. He preceded her in death, May 18, 2003.
Lucille enjoyed her life as a farm wife, attending family gatherings, writing family history, poetry and keeping in touch with family and friends through letter writing.
She was a member of Canaan Lutheran Church, she was involved with Sunday School, Christmas programs, and ladies missionary group.
She was a past member of the Farm Bureau Council, Lodi TOPS, and was a 4H advisor.
She is survived by Sons: James (Jeanne), Donald (Neva) and David (Rita), all of West Salem, Daughter: Barbara Kramer of Maumee, Ohio. Grandchildren: Molly (Brad) Stull, Bill (Jenn) Kramer, Randy (Heather) Tegtmeier, Matthew (Tammy) Kramer, Luke (Kathrine) Tegtmeier, Jill (Dennis) Lemon, Adam, Heidi and Mark Tegtmeier. Great-Grandchildren: Katie & Riley Stull, Madeline, Grant, Cassidy, and Amelia Kramer; and Cody, Brock and Kade Tegtmeier. Sisters: Helen (Paul) Horst of Wooster, Dorothy Herman of West Salem, and Eleanor Pamer of Ashland. Brother, Howard Herman Jr. of Medina.
Funeral services will be Saturday, at 11:00 am at the Canaan Lutheran Church, 10851 Friendsville Rd., Creston, with the Rev Paul Thoms officiating. Burial will be at Canaan Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, from 5-8 pm at Murray Funeral Home, Creston.
