Obituary:

Lucille Josephine Phalsgraff, widow to Phillip Joseph Phalsgraff, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Lucille was born March 18, 1937 in Cleveland where she was raised.  She married in 1978 and moved from Cleveland area.  She lost her first born child, Carmella Marie Bernadette Caspio at the age of four and her husband Phillip in 1983 from cancer.  As a widow and a resident of Lodi, Lucille raised her other three children while working at Lodi Community Hospital and doing home nursing care until retiring at the age of 62.  After spending a few wonderful years in the Carolinas with her son, she returned to the Lodi area to be closer to her children and grandchildren.  While there, Lucille was blessed to be reunited with many members of the Caspio family including uncles, cousins and very special friends.  Anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting Lucy knew she lived to serve the Lord everyday.  Her laugh was one of a kind and certainly unforgettable.  Her heart was made of pure gold and she would do anything for anyone.  Lucille loved her family and she loved to cook and spend time in the kitchen.  Her family always came first and she taught her grandchildren and great-grandchildren about Jesus and what it means to know him.  She spent most of her time with her Bible and enjoyed watching inspirational movies.  Lucille also enjoyed to shop whether it was QVC, HSN or in the stores.
Lucille joins in Heaven her mother and father, Marie Laporta and Samuel Caspio, her brothers, Charles “Chucky” and Anthony “Tony” Caspio, her beloved Aunt Rose and her husband, Phillip and daughter, Carmella.Lucille touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Floyde Richard Phalsgraff, Daniel Paul Phalsgraff and Bernadette Marie Carmella Gibbs; her grandchildren, David, Tara, Daniel, Phillip, Richelle, Brandon, Katie Marie, Cassie Renee’ and Brianna and last but not least, her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jayden and Gabrella.
A memorial gathering and pot luck will be held at the log cabin located at 8439 Lafayette Rd., Lodi, OH on Sunday, May 15th from 12-4 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made in care of  Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217.
