Obituary:

Leta Mae Leaman, 79, of Fredericksburg, died Monday morning, July 5, 2010 at her home following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Leta was born March 23, 1931 in Shreve, the daughter of the late Carl and Garnet (Wachtel) Hostettler.  She married Virgil E. Leaman on Nov. 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 2005.  She was a graduate of Wooster High School and had worked at Farm Dairy and as a milk tester at the O.A.R.D.C. prior to working at the Wooster Brush Co. where she retired from following 23 years of service.  She and her husband moved to Fredericksburg in 1963 where they operated a farm known as Pebble Farm.  She was a member of Fredericksburg Church of Christ and the Fredericksburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 651.  She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and having a good time.  She loved her children and grandchildren and her home was always open to many children that needed a place to stay or something to eat.  She was always loving and giving and full of fun.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered by her children, Connie Miller; Jeffrey Leaman, Karen (John) Shaffer, Carol (Bob) Baughman and Duane (Lori) Leaman all of Fredericksburg; her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; her two sister Marge (Merle) Rinard and Jeannie Troyer both of Wooster and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Guy, John and Albert Hostettler and sisters Beulah Movens, Thelma Miller, Lavera Carter and Naomi Biggs.
Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Kent Adams officiating.  Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
The family extends their deepest thanks to Carolyn Brinker for the wonderful care she gave to Leta as well as to all the girls from A.S.P.A  and to the staff at Hospice of Wayne Co. Your kindness will always be remembered.
