Obituary:
Inez F. Webb, 96, of Creston, died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Meadowview Care Center in Seville following a lengthily illness.
Inez was born Nov. 6, 1914 in Ft. Gaye, W.Va. the daughter of the late John and Sadie (Akers) Wellman. In 1939 she married Converse Webb and he preceded her in death in 1972. She had worked in meat department at the A & P Store in Mansfield from 1951 - 1972 and was a member of the Mansfield Baptist Temple. She had lived in Mansfield from 1950 - 1989 when she moved to Creston.
Surviving are grandchildren Linda Kerns and Johnny Crabtree; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister Addie Burnette of Barberton; a sister-in-law Louise Wellman of Creston and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a step-children John and Ralph Webb and Eloise Crabtree, a granddaughter Doris, brothers Latt, Donald and Frank Wellman and sisters Mayme and Lydia.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Graveside services will be Tuesday at Webb Family Cemetery in Fort Gay, W.Va. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
