Obituary:
Ida Mae Holland, 72, of Wooster, died peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Ida was born May 28, 1938 in Wyandotte, Michigan the daughter of the late Edwin and Maria (Day) Myers. She married Sherwood E. Holland in 1979 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1985. She was a 1955 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, MI had made her home in Wooster since 1971 where she owned and operated Snelling & Snelling until retiring in 1994. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she was active in the Dorcus Circle and in Bible Study. She was a former member of the Quota Club and had attended classes at the College of Wooster. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Dan Snyder of Wooster and Brenda and John Giguere of Cleveland; 2 grandsons and their wives, Chris and Stephanie Snyder of Wooster and Mark and Marie Snyder of Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren Jonathan and Jayden Snyder of Wooster and Daniel and Danica Snyder of Orlando, FL; two sisters and nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster with Rev. Kevan Franklin officiating. Inurnment will be in Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, MI. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
