Harold William "Tracy" Weahry

Harold W. “Tracy” Weahry, 84, of Seville, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015. 

He was born Aug. 11, 1931 in Easton to the late John and Ruth (Reed) Weahry and was a 1949 graduate of Sterling High School.  Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had made his home in the Sterling, Creston and Seville area all of his life. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Akron and had previously worked at International Paper in Wooster.  He was a member of the Creston Moose Lodge, Wadsworth Eagles and the V.F.W. Post in Wadsworth.  He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, gardening, spending time with family and friends and sporting events.  He especially loved baseball and following the Cleveland Indians.

Surviving are his daughter, Tammy and Jim Lance of West Salem; his son, Robert and Kim Weahry of Seville; step-children, Nancy Bishop of Rootstown and Jerry Messenger of Wooster; a granddaughter, Valerie Slygh of Cleveland; sisters, Joanne and Bob Glessner and Alyce Yannayon both of Creston; a brother, Rick Weahry and Brenda Shank of Burbank  and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Weahry, step-son, Larry Messenger; brothers, Kenneth, Jack and infant brother Robert and a sister, Janet Weahry.

Services will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends will be received from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorials may be made to Moose Heart, 155 S.
