Everett C. Leister, 90, of Creston, died Thursday, May 13, 2010
Everett was born Jan. 5, 1920 in Medina the son of the late Richard and Eva (Gardner) Leister. He married Glendora Mishler on July 27, 1946 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 15, 1996. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WW II and had previously served in the American Field Services. Everett had been a tool and die maker and a courier for many years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational Church in Medina where he had been a deacon and had enjoyed traveling and camping.
He was the loving father of Charles (Nancy) Leister of Napersville, IL, David (Alfreda) Leister of Wellington, Mary (Richard) Lopata of Olmsted Falls, Holly (John) Lewis of Ashland, James (Pat) Leister of Concord, NC and Alan (Cathy) Leister of Marshallville; beloved grandfather of Danny (Emily) Leister, Kimberly Leister, Debby Corman, Doug (Sharon) Lopata, Chris Burlingame, Mindy Lewis, Ryan (Carmen) Leister, Katie (Blake) Bush, Lauren Leister and Alexandria Leister, Great-grandfather of Meera, Amber, Alexa, Hanna and Clara. In addition to his wife, 2 brothers Raymond and Robert died previously.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Neal Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina Co., 797 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
