Edith Snodgrass, 84, of Wooster, died peacefully at Wooster Community Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 following a brief illness.

Edith was born July 22, 1926 in Banock, KY the daughter of the late James Ellis and Sophia Ray (Butler) Morris.  She had worked at Rexroth in Wooster and had operated a fruit market in Kentucky and Ohio for several years.  She was a member of the former Westwood Baptist Church and had attended West Hill Baptist Church.  She was an avid quilter and enjoyed cooking for her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her children, Judy (Marion) Showalter of Wooster, James (Vicki) Snodgrass of Loudonville and Dana (Tim) Kapel of Milwaukee, WI; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; 2 sisters, Faye (Leonard) Pertee  and Carolyn (Jerry) Pertee both of Smithville and 2 brothers, William (Jean) Morris and Dwight Morris both of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Snodgrass; a great-grandson Justin Kurjian; brothers Willard and Vendal Morris and sisters Leona Daugherty, Lucille Cardwell, Ruby Uhler and infant sister Jerlene.

Services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Revs. Melvin Browning and Eric Fairhurst officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at 2:00.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
