Obituary:
Donald E. Stewart, 73, of Puerto Rico, formerly of Creston, died Monday, May 24, 2010 in Isabella, Puerto Rico following a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 14, 1936 in Wayne County the son of the late John and Ida (Haslam) Stewart. He attended Creston School and served in the U.S. Navy. He had been a Department Supervisor at a manufacturing plant in Ft. Lauderdale where he had resided prior to moving to Puerto Rico six years ago.
Surviving are his wife of over 30 years, Matilda; 3 daughters Kathy, Chris and Kelly; a sister Betty (Fritz) Fleming of Clarington; 2 aunts, 1 uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pauline and a brother Raymond.
Graveside services will be Monday, June 7th, at 1:00 p.m. at Burbank Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
