Donald W. Wright, Sr. 93, of Wadsworth, died early Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at Burbank Parke Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
Don was born Nov. 2, 1924 in Leroy to Oliver Warren and Vira Louise (Moffett) Wright and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II. In 2007 he received an honorary diploma from Cloverleaf High School. He retired from the Packaging Corp. of America in Rittman and attended the Universalist Church in Westfield Center. Don enjoyed metal detecting, collecting coins, hunting, fishing and trapping.
Surviving are sons, Ronald Wright of Burbank and Larry (Linda) Wright of Congress; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, a sister, Sue Walker of Lodi and a special granddaughter and care giver, Heather Moore of New Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Donald Wright, Jr., a daughter-in-law, Grace; a brother, Gerald and sisters, Bernice, Eleanor and Patricia.
Services will be Thursday, Dec. 7th at 1:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Burbank Cemetery where military honors will be conducted. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com

Larry and Ron I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. I always enjoyed talking to him at the Bird club and when I would see him out. When my girl was little he would always send her a Christmas card with a dollar in it. He was a good man I was glad to have known.
