Services:  Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Creston Presbyterian Church

Calling Hours:  Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of services at the Church

Obituary:

            David E. Glasgow, 70, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died April 16, 2010, with his family by his side.  David was born Nov. 18, 1939 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and graduated from Norwayne High School in Creston. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a master’s degree from The Ohio State University.  After completing four years as a Navy officer, raising six children, and enjoying a successful engineering career, David fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming an ordained minister.  After ministering in Tennessee and Alabama with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, David joined his family in Pittsburgh and earned his Doctor of Ministry at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  He was a loving father and grandfather.

            He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Jeannette (Eshelman) Glasgow, his sister Bonnie, his daughter Catherine, and his grandson Devin.  He is survived by his sister Janet Arunyakasem, aunt Esther Knepp, cousin Elizabeth Knepp, Jacqueline Glasgow, his children Stephen (Janelle) Glasgow, JoEllen Jones, Andrew (Tatiana) Glasgow, Deborah (Michael) Monaco, MaryBeth (Steve) Schotting, Judy (Brian) Rosenzweig, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  

            Family and friends will be received at 12:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the CrestonPresbyterian Church, 13070 Cleveland Road, Creston, Ohio 44217.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Murray Funeral Home, 173 South Main Street, Creston, Ohio 44217.
