Darrell B. Krueger, 63, of Creston, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in his much loved and cared for home on Friday, August 5, 2011.

Darrell was born Jan. 16, 1948 in Akron the son of the late Bernard A. and LaVonne E. (Hood) Krueger. He was a 1966 graduate of Highland High School and in 1970 graduated from Bowling Green State University. On Sept. 16, 1972 he married Patricia L. Harrison and had made his home in Creston. He recently retired from Kraft Foods which when he started with the Company in 1968 was the Paisley Co., Muller Packaging, Standard Brands, Nabisco Brands and now Kraft Foods. He enjoyed renovating his old home and helping friends, family and his son with their renovations. He loved working on motorcycles and working in the yard pulling weeds and mowing grass. Darrell was a man of many talents and he loved life and lived everyday to its fullest.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Patricia; his son and daughter-in-law Eric and Kelly Krueger of Creston; his grandson Liam; his mother-in-law Phyllis Harrison and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Kathleen (Harrison) Olson, James and April Harrison, Carol and Andy Rusnacko, Daniel and Renee Harrison, Scott and Kim Harrison, David and Lisa Harrison; and many nieces and nephews. His parents Bernard and LaVonne Krueger and his father-in-law James Harrison preceded him in death.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Revs. Jim Seward and Andy Rusnacko officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
