Celeste Marie Dickens Webb, 77, of Creston, died peacefully at her home on Friday evening, Nov. 25, 2011 surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

Celeste Marie was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Meadow Creek, W.Va. the daughter of the late Judson and Sylvia (Goodwin) Taylor. She married Ezra Darl Dickens on April 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1993. She later married James Webb on July 11, 1995 and survives. She had made her home in Creston since 1963 and attended the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her gentle spirit.

She will be greatly missed by her husband James; her children and their spouses, Celesta Clay of Creston and son-in-law Carl Clay of Creston; Marsha and Michael Kendall of Wooster; Tammy and Eddie Rastorfer of West Salem; Rick and Debbie Webb of Fosterville, W.Va. and Linda and Rev. Roger Landy of Beckley, W.Va.; her nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister Patricia Barnes of Hope, AK and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, 3 brothers Theodore, Kevin and James Taylor and 2 sisters, Carol Jean Long and Linda Ann Upton.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. James R. McComas and Rev. Roger Landy officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
