Carlos Edward Pittman, 56, of Wooster, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family following a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Carlos was born March 30, 1954 in Lodi the son of the late Glenn and Mary Jane (Yockey) Pittman.  On June 5, 1973 he married Patty Hoag and she survives.  He had worked at McIntire Basket and Crislip Corp. in Creston, at Contours in Orrville and retired from the Will-Burt Co.  He had made his home in Wooster for the past 32 years and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, hunting for Arrow Heads and repelling.  He loved spending time with family and friends especially his granddaughters.

Surviving are his wife Patty; son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Jackie Pittman of Wooster; his two granddaughters Tristyn and Carissa; brothers Jim (Deb) Pittman and Bob Pittman of Wooster; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert (Susan) Hoag of Homerville and nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, a sister Darlene Huff and brothers David, Mark and Gary Pittman died previously.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Tom Michaels officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com.  Contributions may be made to the family in care of Murray Funeral Home, 173 S.
