Obituary:

Ada Detweiler Hostetler, 100, of 8512 S. Apple Creek Rd., Fredericksburg, died Friday morning, Jan. 19, 2018 at her home following a short illness.

She was born in Sugarcreek, OH on December 23, 1917 to John and Katie Ann (Miler) Detweiler and had lived most of her life in Fredericksburg.  She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  On Nov. 7, 1937 she married Elmer Hostetler who preceded her in death on May 27, 2008.

Surviving is her daughter, Ada Marie (Eli D.) Yoder of the home, nine grandchildren, Laura (Les) Bowman, Leah (Wes) Bowman, Luane (Michael) Wengerd, Linda (James) Weaver, Barbara (Wayne) Weaver, Joe (Ina) Yoder, Rachel (Joseph) Yoder, Eli Jr. (Leona) Yoder and Rebecca (Jason) Yoder; 45 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.  Also surviving are sisters, Sarah Yoder and Katie Schlabach both of Fredericksburg.  She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Mahlon, Wallace and John Detweiler and sisters, Leah Troyer, Emma Coblentz and Elvesta Bontrager.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 21stat 9:00 a.m. at the Eli Yoder residence, 8512 S. Apple Creek Rd., with Bishop Abe Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.  The family extends their deepest appreciation to the staff of LifeCare Hospice and to Katie Coblentz and Jemima Shetler for the wonderful care given to their beloved Mother and Grandmother.
